The new automated warehouse for the management of printing cylinders, measuring 140 × 12.50 m with an above-ground height of 13 m, is part of the company’s technological modernization program.
Handling is fully automated through a stacker crane system capable of operating in double-deep storage and retrieving up to five cylinders simultaneously.
The structure combines in-situ reinforced concrete for the base with steel for the above-ground portion, featuring regularly spaced trussed roof structures. The cladding consists of painted steel sandwich panels in graduated tones derived from the company’s corporate colors, starting at the concrete plinth, to mitigate the building’s above-ground height visually.
The functional program is completed by two above-ground levels integrated into the overall volume: the ground floor is dedicated to loading and unloading cylinders, while the first floor is reserved for a future conference room.
The industrial volume is conceived as a rectangular prism characterized, on the north-west side, by a large portico for loading and unloading operations, and on the south-east side by a triangular overhang containing the technical rooms.
