The new building volumes, as an extension of the existing municipal service center, are intended to accommodate emergency vehicles, offices, and a training room.
The compact volumes, built with a prefabricated steel frame, are characterized by façades clad in bright red aluminum panels.
The need to minimize interference with existing activities and reduce construction time led to the choice of a steel structure with a lightweight, high-performance building envelope, whose bay rhythm and window typology relate to the existing architecture.
The new “courtyard” is covered by a lightweight metal canopy, which, in addition to protecting the maneuvering areas from the weather, gives the intervention a more iconic architectural identity.
