MP House reinterprets the traditional tower house through a balance of geometric rigor and panoramic views of the Brianza Lecchese landscape.
The volume defines its architectural composition through two exposed concrete walls that shield the house on the east and west sides. The north and south façades dissolve into large timber-framed glazed surfaces with orange sun-shading panels.
The architecture operates as a bioclimatic system, carefully controlling solar exposure and natural ventilation while providing an intimate shelter with privileged views of the surrounding landscape.
The interiors open onto the transparent façades, establishing a dialogue with the landscape through natural timber frames that create a chromatic interplay with the concrete's neutrality.
Central to the project is a suspended rectilinear staircase rising through the various levels towards the rooftop solarium. A lightweight wood-and-glass structure surpasses the height of the primary volume, interrupting its otherwise solid profile.
The internal layout reinterprets the functional and spatial simplicity of traditional rural houses in a contemporary way, consistently with the restrained palette of materials: timber for the window frames, steel and glass for the porch and staircase canopies, and exposed concrete for the load-bearing walls.
